MOBILE & WEB PROJECT
sCool enables students to learn while having fun
sCool is a pedagogical tool for STEM education for high-school students (11-19 years old) which consists of:
- Interdisciplinary multi-platform mobile video game
- Web platform for creating adaptive learning content and tracking students’ progress.
- Unity3d C# and ASP.NET MVC on Microsoft Azure
The entire game is based on PCG techniques, which have been used for generation of maps, assets and music. The programming course teaches both theoretical and practical aspects of Python language.
In theoretical part the goal is to collect the disks which will “reveal” a piece of information. A player has to provide an answer to the question at the end of this part in order to move on. The goal in practical part is to program a robot to move around, avoid the obstacles and collect the disk.
The project is further developed at The Graz University of Technology with a goal of adding new courses.
- C#, Python
- Procedural Content Generation (PCG)
- Cellular Automata
- Mobile (Android, iOS)
